Faithful Presence, Continued Purpose

As another academic year comes to a close, I am deeply grateful for all that happens at Lubbock Christian University. Each year brings new opportunities to grow, serve, and celebrate the work taking place across campus, as we remain grounded in our mission, encouraged by our community, and continually strengthened by God’s faithful presence in the life of our university.
This issue of Reflections highlights the retirement of two long-serving and deeply valued faculty members, along with four additional retirees whose combined service totals 127 years. From the classroom to behind-the-scenes roles, each has faithfully contributed to the life and student experience of LCU, with many spending much of their careers here. We also celebrate the employees recognized for milestone service anniversaries ranging from five to 40 years, each reflecting years of faithful service and dedication.
Across campus, our students continue to experience enriching opportunities that prepare them for lives of purpose and service. The College of Business Student Investment Group provides hands-on learning that connects classroom knowledge with real-world application. Student athletes like Natalee Gray are excelling not only on the softball field but also in academic and honors pursuits, demonstrating the balance and excellence we strive to cultivate in every student.
It is also a joy to recognize our alumni who are living out their calling in communities near and far. Their impact in healthcare, education, business, ministry, and countless other fields reflects the enduring value of an LCU education and the reach of our shared calling.
As summer begins, our campus will soon come alive through camps and events that welcome students, families, and visitors into this place we call home, bringing a special energy and an opportunity to serve and influence those who come through our doors. Above all, I remain thankful for God’s continued guidance and presence at Lubbock Christian University, and as we look ahead, we do so with confidence in the One who continues to sustain and lead this community forward.
